Preparing for #MACUL22

We are excited to see each and every one of you in Grand Rapids in the coming days! We are taking every step possible to ensure that our attendees have an excellent conference experience this year. Check out the information below as you prepare to head to Grand Rapids.

Connecting at #MACUL22

We will be using a three lanyard system this year onsite to help you connect with those around you.

Health & Safety Protocols

  • Masks are optional for all attendees
  • Sneeze guards in registration area
  • Multiple Hand Sanitizing Stations throughout both venues
  • No public water stations – use the automatic water bottle fillers in Devos (see map)
  • Lanyard System (see above)
  • Multiple ways to get Session locations to spread attendee traffic
  • Reduced seating capacities
  • Reduction in large group gathering/furniture spaces

DeVos Place Convention Center

  • Hand Sanitizing Stations throughout the venue
  • Heightened Venue Cleaning and Sanitation Efforts
  • Automatic Water Bottle Fillers (see map)
  • Masks are not required at this time by the venue
  • Updated HVAC and ventilation systems to ensure highest air purification standard is achieved
  • Food safety measures are following protocols recommended by health officials as well as federal, state and local guidelines

Amway Grand Plaza Hotel

  • Hotels are not requiring masks for staff or for guests in any common areas
  • Valet parking is very limited at this time.
  • Guests may utilize the motor lobby to drop off luggage; a doorman and bellman is available to assist.
  • Contact free digital check in and keyless entry with your mobile device is available via the Hilton Honors App; guests must be a Hilton Honors Member and download the app prior to arrival.
  • If guests prefer standard in person check in, it is available.
  • The hotel is offering hand sanitizer throughout all public and staff areas
  • Meeting spaces are disinfected after each group and overnight
  • The pool is closed at this time.
  • The fitness center is open regular hours
  • Room Service is no longer offered at the property, to-go orders may be placed for pick up at The Kitchen Counter
  • GP Sports is permanently closed and reopened in January 2022 as Woodrows (Home to the Annual MACUL Reception on 3.17)
  • Guest laundry is not available
  • The hotel is happy to provide stay over housekeeping service, upon request only through the front desk.

  • Amway: $16 self parking in ramp off Pearl Street/ $25 valet (limited capacity)
  • Courtyard: $16 self parking
  • Hyatt Place: Visit their website for current information
  • JW: $16 self parking/ $25 valet
  • DeVos Place: parking available in the underground ramps that you enter off Michigan or Lyon (FIND OUT MORE)
  • AC: $16 self parking at the JW ramp
  • Kent City/County Ramp on Monroe
  • Surface Lots in and the Venues
