Preparing for #MACUL23

We are excited to see each and every one of you in Detroit in the coming days! We are taking every step possible to ensure that our attendees have an excellent conference experience this year. Check out the information below as you prepare to head to Detroit.

Connecting at #MACUL23

We will be returning to Detroit for the first time in four years and with that will be our normal lanyards.  We will have RED lanyards on hand for those who wish to have a social cue for spacing and distancing.

Health & Safety Protocols

  • Masks are optional for all attendees
  • Multiple Hand Sanitizing Stations throughout both venues
  • Use the automatic water bottle fillers in Huntington Place (see map) – GREEN DOTS are stations
  • Multiple ways to get Session locations to spread attendee traffic
  • Reduced seating capacities
  • Reduction in large group gathering/furniture spaces

Facility Parking Updates

  • Huntington Place Parking Information ($20 Daily Rate) and includes The Rooftop, Washington Blvd Garage, Congress Street Garage, Joe Louis Parking Deck
  • Center Garage (S+P): $29 self parking
  • Port Atwater Garage: $20-25 self parking
  • Beaubien Place: Visit their website for current information as Daily Rates Apply
  • Surface Lots: Please park on your own in around the downtown area
  • Renaissance Center by Marriott: $6 hourly/$27 daily/$40 Valet
  • Shuttles Available to/from Huntington Place to the  Conference Hotel (RenCen by Marriott) and the Thursday Reception (The Brakeman). Shuttle Hours:
    • TH 6:30-11:30 AM; 4:30-10:30 PM
    • FR 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM

  • Bring Snacks (food lines can be busy)

  • Attend a Special Event (Campfire Sessions, Annual Reception, Annual Meeting, Featured Speaker, Keynotes, AR/VR Demos in the MACUL Zone)
